Lauryn
Lauryn’s work merges invented characters, graphic precision, and expressive energy. Her drawings and paintings often feature fantastical, hybrid figures - part-animal, part-human - sometimes fierce, sometimes vulnerable. Rendered with bold colour and intricate line, these figures embody psychological states and personal stories, forming part of a wider imaginative framework: a shifting cast of characters that feel both mythic and contemporary. For Lauryn, art is a language - a way to express herself and be heard. Still early in her journey at Artbox, she is eager to explore new processes such as drypoint etching, while continuing to build this vivid, psychologically charged world.
