Costas
Costas is a warm and expressive artist who brings care, humour, and precision to his work. His drawings often resemble imaginary maps or constructed environments - places with walls, borders, rules, and off-limit zones. He takes great pleasure in narrating the logic of these worlds, pointing out areas you can and can’t go, or explaining the power structures at play.
His self-portrait was a breakthrough moment, and he continues to take pride in “getting better” at art, often commenting when his work “stands out.” Whether working from observation or imagination, there’s always an undercurrent of storytelling in Costas’s pieces - a sense of spatial thinking, direction, and personal voice. He’s a friendly and sociable presence in the studio, always offering a handshake and a chat.
