Giulia is fascinated by Italy, producing a huge variety of work inspired by the landscape, architecture, language and culture. These pieces range from quick intimate gestures, to more decorative or abstract works. Her drawings of animals and text are often formed with intricate patterns, reminiscent of henna designs. She also creates pared back linear sketches of figures, or isolated graphic designs with bold, contrasting colours. Giulia immensely enjoys the buzz of exhibitions, and the opportunity to show her work and sell. Giulia says, “I like the way it goes on the wall and in the frames and I’m very happy that there’s always lots of people interested in my work. I feel respected. They say nice things. I worked really hard. I feel happy.”
