Sonia’s work experiments with mark making and repeat patterns. Although this soft depiction of flowers initially seems like a departure from her usual abstract exploration that is evocative of maps and circuitry, it retains Sonia’s allusion to the diagrammatic. 

The tall stems provide space for Sonia’s repetitive pattern of leaves. Through these design elements, Sonia’s work invites us to consider how people are often drawn to recognition, order, and actions like stacking and organising.
