Lana
Lana is a ray of sunshine in the Saturday group. Her art is inventive, versatile and joyful, spanning painting, screenprinting, collage, set design, and detailed craft. She enjoys experimenting with different processes, from the meditative rhythm of diamond painting, or the energetic pull of the screenprint squeegee, or ambitious large-scale projects, such as her ski-slope set complete with figures, ski lift, and trees. Her pictures often burst with bold colours and floral forms, combining gesture and pattern to create vibrant abstract compositions. Collaboration and inspiration are central to her practice - she often draws on ideas sparked by fellow artists in the studio. Across all mediums, Lana’s work reflects playfulness, imagination, and a joy in bringing scenes to life.

Lana goes skiing in a box
“I felt happy making this piece. I enjoyed making myself in foam clay. This was one of my favourite creations, as skiing is one of my hobbies, and that is the inspiration for making the piece.”
