Chris was a lively and chatty member of our Saturday group who constantly challenged himself and whose art journey was inspiring to watch. He loved exploring through his artwork and had learnt so many skills, from using watercolours and screenprinting to collage and trying photoshop, he was so open to trying anything. It was a joy to watch him flourish in so many mediums and styles.
Chris brought his playful humour to our art sessions and he especially liked to make jokes that play on words. His warm, cheerful personality and cheeky humour will be missed.
Chris used a whole host of different media to create his varied pieces using unique techniques. From vivid landscapes to experimental abstracts, Chris was inspired by traditional landscapes and enjoyed reworking existing materials and methods to create original works. His body of work includes monoprints, watercolours and large-scale collages. Chris reworked old and new works into mixed media collages, recycling artworks to create something beautiful adds an element of creative sustainability to his practice.
