This was my first piece after I came out of hospital.

I want to be able to draw a face - I feel happy when I’m doing the faces. I’m trying to practise drawing the eyes, I’m trying to do it without books. Practise makes perfect.

I just get a piece of paper and pencil and draw without copying and then I don’t think about anything.

I’ve been through a lot - it’s been a bad year. When I’m drawing I’m concentrating and then I’m not thinking about anything else - I’m happy and relaxed.
