Andreas

Andreas is a devoted costume-maker, inspired by the characters in his favourite films. A walking encyclopaedia of Disney movies, he’ll normally arrive at Artbox with DVDs in hand and a new idea for a hat, cuff, shield, or other prop from a movie he likes. Working with cardboard, paint, and glue, he brings these creations to life, then fully inhabits his characters through spot-on impressions, often staying in character for the bus journey home. Costume-making gives Andreas a sense of special powers, sparking joy and boosting his confidence. The process also connects him with others in the studio, offering conversation, shared laughter, and the satisfaction of turning imagination into something real.
