About the piece:

Chris took photographs of buildings across London before adapting them in Photoshop to create fun, surreal and sometimes scary environments. His work often explores his feelings and experiences as an autistic person. In this piece, Chris is looking at a building that is going through work and change. For some, this might be exciting and hopeful, whereas others may find change threatening and confusing. In a city going through constant change and gentrification, we have to remind ourselves of the feelings and experiences of everyone in society.

About the artist:

Chris creates experimental pieces that use a vast array of materials and processes. Sometimes these take the form of paintings but often explores the three dimensional properties of a wide variety of materials. In this instance mix media collaged sculptures. Chris feels passionately about encouraging people with learning disabilities to take up a career in art. In the past he has given talks, most notably at the Royal Academy where he talks about the relationship between art and disability.
