Become an Artist

There are lots of ways for people with learning disabilities and autism to join our studio, from art and craft workshops, open access studio sessions and learning skills to become an artist. Click on the pictures below to find out more:

Open Access Studio: £15 for a half day, £30 for a full day. This includes use of the studio and materials.

3-hour workshops: £25.  This includes use of the studio and materials, support from volunteers and the session facilitator, online promotion (through our online shop and social media) and exhibition opportunities.

Those receiving personal budgets can use this to pay for Artbox. We ask artists who do not receive help from social services to contribute towards the cost of Artbox workshops. In exceptional circumstances, we can reduce this for those who cannot afford to pay.

All artists are invited to join our trips to London's top exhibitions and museums. To learn more about our trips, click here.

Artists can also sell their work through our online shop and exhibitions.

Here's what happens when artwork sells:

Original Art

The sale price of original art is split between the artist and the organisation, helping us to continue to run our workshops and trips.

Print Sales

If a print of your work sells, you get 25% of the profit. 75% goes back to Artbox to cover our costs and to fund future opportunities for our artists.
